The Department of Mechanical Engineering came into existence in 2009, since the college’s inception, offering Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, with an intake of 60, followed by addition of 60 more seats in the year…. and now having a total of 120 seats. Till now fifteen batches have already passed out from this institute and placed in different reputed industries and organisations. The department has over 5 Laboratories and 4 workshops equipped with the state-of-the-art scientific instruments and machinery.
The Departmenthas9staff members well experienced and dedicated to their work. Four staff members are higher qualified i.e. M.Tech from reputed institute. In the academic year 2015-16 CAD/CAM laboratory was introduced with an intake of 60 which is a great achievement for the department to train the students to become good design engineer in any field.
The students of this department learn to solve society’s challenges using innovative thinking and technology. The department encourages the students to participate in extracurricular activities to give students exclusive access to the most important knowledge transfer. The department regularly holds soft skill development,quiz,GD, technical paper presentation at the state/national level, guest lectures by experts, and the technical association Mechanical Engineering Department Honorary Association (MEDHA) to improve organizing skills and uncover hidden talents.
The department runs specific forums like Institution of Engineers (IEI), the Indian Institution of Production Engineers (IIPE) to improve students’ technical knowledge and skills. The department has grown to meet technology development difficulties while keeping a strong foundation in mechanical engineering. Faculty members are collaborated with National and International researchers to enhance their knowledge and technology.
